About Leah...

Leah Kurtzer, MS, LAC-T, is a creative and compassionate therapist who values the uniqueness of each client’s experience. She is passionate about creating a space for insight, growth, and self-discovery, taking the time to truly understand each client’s story. Leah emphasizes collaborative goal-setting and adapts as life presents new challenges, ensuring that therapy remains meaningful and client-centered.

As a lifelong creative, Leah’s journey began with artsy hobbies and fine arts studies, but she discovered that the best art isn’t found in museums or crafted from expensive materials—it’s the art that holds personal meaning and tells a story.

Leah earned her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy from Prescott College. Through extended training and internships, she has conducted art therapy sessions for children, teens, and adults. She approaches each session with preparation and openness, fostering environments that encourage connection, self-exploration, and mindfulness. Understanding that creativity can sometimes feel intimidating, Leah is passionate about reintroducing art as a source of joy, peace, and insight, emphasizing that the creative journey matters far more than the final product.

As a person-centered therapist, Leah integrates creativity with evidence-based practices, including mindfulness and DBT interventions. She helps clients build skills for emotional awareness, stress reduction, and effective communication. Leah is dedicated to guiding clients toward their vision of a better today and tomorrow, using innovative approaches tailored to their unique needs.
